<hi style=afpcap>The 107th Fighter Squadron is part of the 127th Fighter Wing, Michigan Air National Guard and flies the mighty F-16C out of Selfridge Field. The squadron frequently deploys in support of regular forces. In just such a deployment, an F-16C of the 107th FS taxies out at Eielson AFB, Alaska during a realistic training exercise. The squadron was activated as the 107th Observation Squadron in October 1940 and fought in Europe with P-51 and F-6 Mustangs. Before converting to the "Lawn Dart," the squadron flew A-7D Corsair IIs.</hi>
